Food! Food!! Food!!!
Ah! Who doesn’t love food? Or at least like? Do you live to eat? Or do you eat to live? Whatever your appetite, here at VG you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner to your heart’s content. The main meals are predominantly Kerala style; soups and salads are served for those who prefer a light dinner; breakfast occasionally has a bit of North India flavour. Items can be made on an
on-demand basis too, though the every day spread is good enough with a healthy mix of carbs, proteins, vitamins et cetera. The five piece of fruits and veg is easily accomplished.

Fun fact : did you know that banana is the world’s oldest fruit at over 10,000 years old? They have 75% water as compared to the human body which is only 60% water, yet they are firm. They have a curved shape due to an effect called negative geotropism – they lean towards the sun as they start to grow; when bananas are fresh, they float in water. (Are you rushing to check?)

So…….you are thinking what is new about food?
Imagine……it is freshly prepared every day and all ready! All you have to do is show up and EAT . No sweating over the stove, no panicking about whether the cylinder is on its last leg or whether you smell like the fish or chicken that you have just prepared ..hahaha:)

How convenient is that? Ask any householder. Does this make them jealous? Ask mostly the women folk. It is the planning and preparing rather than the process itself that is the pain and bane of cooking.
The easiest food to cook is a boiled egg. (Don’t tell me you can’t even boil an egg😲) but let’s say you are cooking a biryani. Depending on the cuisine, you are opting for, you easily need 15+ ingredients, the right quantity and proportion, the ratio of each ingredient, the chopping, soaking, marinating, grinding, …….uffff! just reading all this has tired you out. Hasn’t it ????

Exactly my point.

And as I said , we have to just show up and eat. Yes, all of us have put on a bit of weight, but we are at the age where we eat to live a healthy life. Coupled with walking, a bit of yoga and gentle aerobics we are a happy lot here 🙂

Come and see it for yourself ..at VG!
